Triangle Dance and Drum Conference
Coming in 2021
Due to the uncertainty of the Coronavirus and the impact on finalizing the logistics of the TDDC, we have decided to postpone the conference until 2021.
We are very excited about bringing this conference to the Triangle area to share West African culture through dance, song and music led by world-class dance and drum instructors, but feel this postponement is in the best interest of everyone involved.
We will share more information about the 2021 conference as details are available.
Welcome to the Triangle Dance and Drum Conference! This conference was created to share West African culture through dance, song and music and is led by world-class dance and drum instructors. The first annual conference will be held in 2021 in Durham, NC.
Classes include dance, percussive dance, beginner and intermediate djembe, traditional and ballet dununs, balafon, and krin. There will be two tracks for the conference, one dance and one drum. We anticipate classes will begin Friday evening and continue on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be a culminating event where people can meet the artists.
